William "Forster" Dufton

Principal, Owner

Forster first started working with G.F.C in 1993 in various capacities. In 2009, he became a co-owner of the company.

Forster has extensive experience with gantry crane maintenance operations, including major crane repairs, painting, and crane inspections, such as the supervision of non-destructive testing. In addition, Forster is an expert at project management and has been involved with the supervision of gantry crane manufacture, crane loading, crane sea transportation, crane unloading, and crane installation and commissioning. Forster also has extensive experience in on site technical advice, preparation of method statements, claims preparation, expert witness reports and temporary works design for reinforced concrete work.

Forster has designed and implemented crane preventative maintenance programs and company procedure manuals.

Forster comes from a long line of marine, civil and mechanical engineers. He received his Diploma in Civil Engineering from Leeds College of Technology and a Diploma in Structural/Civil Engineering from Sheffield Polytechnic. He is a Chartered Engineer- (Engineering Council, registration no 160868), a European Engineer (FEANI, European Federation of National Engineering Associations, registration no. 09070 GB) and a Professional Engineer (Member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and Geophysists of Alberta (APEGGA), Canada).

DALE W. HOOVER

Vice President of Operations

Dale graduated from the Calhoon Engineering School in 1971. He started his career sailing on various U.S. flagged merchant ships as an Engineering officer. During this time, he established himself with SeaLand Service by being appointed a permanent position on their vessels. Dale was then asked to come ashore in 1978 to complement the various SeaLand crane Departments. Working in ( Elizabeth, NJ. Norfolk VA. New Orleans, LA ) and finally at Port Everglades, FL. Where he was appointed to the Lead Port Engineer position. During this time he received numerous awards and recognition from SeaLand.

In 1993 he left SeaLand and joined G.F.C. as the Senior Port Engineer. During this time he was in charge of the complete operation. His duties included scheduling, troubleshooting and establishing the Crane Maintenance Program, that is still in use today. In 2000, Dale worked for G.F.C. on special projects outside of Port Everglades. In 2005, he returned to Port Everglades as Manager of Quality Control and Efficiency. This position was new to the industry, and charged Dale with review of the maintence program and all jobs completed using his background and experience to tune the operation.

Now, as Vice President of Operations, Dale oversees all crane operations at all locations. With over 30 years of Crane maintenance management and repair experience, he is a valued leader of the G.F.C. team.

MARC ALOISIO

General Manager of Maintenance and Senior Crane Maintenance Technician

General Manager of Maintenance and Senior Crane Maintenance Technician Marc Aloisio deals with crane maintenance and the status of the Port Everglades cranes, which included Samsung, Paceco, and Kone cranes. He manages crane maintenance supervisors, mechanics and electricians in the maintenance and upkeep of the Port Everglades Gantry cranes. Marc Aloisio is responsible for scheduling shifts to maximize efficiency and execute payroll processes. As General Manager of Maintenance and Senior Crane Maintenance Technician Marc Alloisio juggles major crane electronic control retrofits and interpretation of Union labor contracts with industry excellence.

In 1999 as Port Engineer and Supervising Port Engineer of G.F.C. Crane Consultants, Inc, Marc Aloisio was in charge of inspecting and identifying warranty defects. He held weekly meetings with the manufacture representative in review of open and closed warranty jobs. Marc Aloisio was responsible for all major jobs, including motor replacements and wire rope changes.

In1995 Marc Aloisio transitioned from Sealand to G.F.C. Crane Consultants, Inc.
to perform maintenance on all Port Everglades Gantry cranes as the Crane Maintenance Electrician.
